Gilda Sampaio and Aurea Urtiaga started by producing leather bags for prominent Brazilian brands. In 1998, facing a need to reflect the unmistakable “carioca”, (Rio dwellers), style, they launched their own brand, Dautore, and opened their 1st store in Ipanema. Today they own four stores in Rio de Janeiro and have a booming international presence.
